We started off the event by rounding up all of our participants to get their hands washed and prepped for handling the ingredients.
We then gathered around the table and listened as our instructor Mary-Anne Selwa from My Smart Hands read the steps out loud and our little busy bees went right to work executing each request. The kids were given spatulas to scoop out globs of peanut butter, spoons to mix the ingredients together, and we used our bare hands to crush the graham wafers into fine pieces. Once the mixture was set, it was time to roll it into balls to create the bodies. What a gooey mess!
The balls were lined up on wax paper and the finishing touches - the drizzling of the chocolate and the almond sliver wings were added to complete the bumble bee creations.
Momstown is sensitive to food allergies and will modify our recipe selections if we are informed of any such issues. We did post to ensure no one attending this event had a peanut allergy for the safety of all of our participants.
