We kicked off our first baby book club of the summer with some songs and fingerplays. Our focus for the event was carrots.
Babies, toddlers and their mommies listened as Kristi read a The Carrot Seed (fiction) followed by The Lifecycle of a Carrot (nonfiction).
After more songs and fingerplays, the little ones took off their onesies and put their bodies into the art.
The toddlers enjoyed gluing tissue paper and painting with CARROTS.

I just wanted to say thank you for hosting an amazing event. I never thought that a 5 month old could do an arts and craft project. Kristy was able to improvise and came up with toe painting. I took the picture home and put it in my baby book and marked it as our first ever craft completed at momstown. Thank you for opening a new creative outlet for Jaxon and I. We will definately be at the next book club meeting...can hardly wait!!
Just wait for Picasso's in the Park this summer Sam! All teh babies will be painting!!
