momstown Milton hosts its First Free Public Easter Egg Hunt for the Community

The Easter bunny was quite busy Saturday morning hiding 250 Easter eggs for our little egg hunters at momstown Milton's First Free Public Easter Egg Hunt for the Community.  The weather couldn't have been more perfect.  The sun was shining and the temperature made it clear that spring is here. 

When the munchkins arrived at the Italian Canadian Club of Milton they were excited to see the stations set up for them.  There were 2 craft stations; the first sponsored by momstown had children creating their own Easter eggs.  The second station was sponsored by the Milton Community Nursery School.  The kids got to create their very own paper plate bunny.  It is always so much fun to see how creative our little ones can be.  For our tiny tots, there was a fun play station to hang out and make friends.

Just before it was time to go out and begin the hunt, all the kids joined in some circle time fun.  They sang and danced to some fun Easter songs including "The Bunny Pokey".  Even I enjoyed doing that one!

When our favorite momstown owner Sam announced it was time to begin the hunt, you could feel the excitement in the air.  They could barely contain themselves as Sam explained what areas to search for their eggs. 

Carrying their favorite basket, they were off to collect their eggs.  They were super excited to fill their baskets and then exchange their treasure for a goody bag.  There were 2 special silver eggs that had 2 lucky hunters win a special door prize courtesy of Simply Creative Studio. 

Doug Hopkins from Sun Life Financial gave away 3 copies of The Lemonade Stand Millionaire. A guide to help encourage our little ones entrepreneurial spirit. 

Many of our mamas brought yummy snacks for all to share.  From veggies and fruits to cupcakes and goldfish, there was something for all to enjoy. It was an EGGS-cellent time for all!  A great success that I'm sure everyone will be looking forward to every year.
