momstown Milton: Mom of the Month - Liz Holohan

Name: Liz Holohan
Age:  28
Born In: Newmarket Ontario

Children’s name and age: Charlotte Grace, 14 months

Childhood Ambition: To be a teacher

Fondest Memory: My parents had a king size bed when we were growing up. My brother and I would jump in with the dog too, and my parents would joke about selling the house because all we needed was a bedroom and a kitchen and we'd be fine. It was nice to be together.

Wildest Dream: To own a convertible VW Beetle, and an old one over a new one - either way I LOVE them!

Proudest Moment: It sounds silly, but one of my proudest moments was recently when Charlotte received her first certificate for finishing a baby class. TOTALLY ridiculous, but it was unexpected and I had this moment of "oh, you're not a baby anymore, you're getting recognition for doing stuff... on paper!" It was a little mind-blowing for this sappy mama!

Biggest Challenge: Not sleeping for the first 10 months of parenthood... we need our sleep around here, so functioning without it was pretty nuts some days!

Perfect Day: My perfect day would include wine, a beach, sunshine, snorkelling, and finish with being chosen as 'that person' at Disney World who gets to spend the night in Cinderella's Castle and eat breakfast with the princesses. I know. But I'm still 5 years old sometimes.

First Job:  Babysitting, but in Grade 9 I worked at Harvey's! The floors were greasy but I liked working as a cashier.

Indulgence: Plain Ruffles + Helluva Good Dip. French Onion. All my girlfriends understand, and will happily help find the bottom of the container!!

Last Big Purchase: Probably the next stage car seat. Wow that's boring. Gotta go spend some money on myself now! ...

Favourite Movie or Favourite Sport? The Goonies. When Harry Met Sally. I can't decide.

How long have you been a member of momstown Milton? 8 months

Anything else you want to share? We have had so much fun getting to know everyone, I don't know what life would be like without all of the Momstown playgroups and events and all our new friends!! It's so wonderful being on this crazy ride together!
