First Baby Book Club is off to a great start with yummy carrots!

We kicked off our first baby book club of the summer with some songs and fingerplays. Our focus for the event was carrots.






Babies, toddlers and their mommies listened as Kristi read a The Carrot Seed (fiction) followed by The Lifecycle of a Carrot (nonfiction).





After more songs and fingerplays, the little ones took off their onesies and put their bodies into the art.

The toddlers enjoyed gluing tissue paper and painting with CARROTS.

That's correct no brushes at this event.

It's raining, it's pouring....

Well, not really!
But the kids at momstown milton did a few "rainy" crafts to encourage a rainy April so that we could have those beautiful May flowers!


We made the classic umbrellas with glitter, pom poms and pipe cleaners!





And we used cupcake holders and bingo dabbers to make a rainy picture!






We closed our morning circle time with the story of the Itsy Bitsy Spider and some fun dancing to "Singing in the Rain"!

A little Easter Egg Fun!

momstown milton hosted their very own Easter Egg Hunt at Rotary Park on March 31st! We could not have asked for a more beautiful day!

The kids donned their rabbit ears and hippety-hopped out to collect their eggs!
After the hunt, we all settled in to eat a bit of candy and playtime at the park!

Field Trip to see the Choo Choo's!!!

momstown had a transportation adventure field trip this week! Off to the Halton County Radial Railway to explore trains, streetcars and buses! Does life get anymore exciting than a train ride? Fun was had by all our kids!

HUGE thanks to our member Kristi for pitching in and putting her imagination and teaching skills to task in planning and prepping for this event to help fill the gap while Ann-Marie took a mini-maternity leave. Awesome involved members like Kristi really make momstown the fantastic community that it is.
