This heart warming story about a mama penguin and her little one was one that our mamas could relate to whole heartedly. Throughout the entire book the little baby penguin was encouraged to explore the world around him knowing that mama was never too far away just in case she was needed. Having this reassurance allowed the penguin to build confidence and discover all of the wonderful things that he could do on his own. The kids listened attentively as Madame Andrea described all of the things that the little guy could do all by himself. A lot of them raised their hand if the task was something that they were already performing themselves as well.
The kids had fun making a penguin craft with tons of hearts to symbolize the bond and the love that a parent and child share between them.
We then talked about all of the other family members that give us support and encourage us in our daily exploration such as Mon père , Ma grand-mere, Mon frère, etc..
