Halloween Games for Kids

Are you planning to host a Halloween party for your little ones and their friends this year?  Here are some fun party game ideas to keep the your guests entertained.

1)  Monster Freeze Dance - Fun way for the kids to stay active and to teach them listening skills.  Put on the Monster Mash and have the kids dance around until the music turns off.  Once off kids must stand as they are until the music goes back on.  Entertaining and a little less hectic than musical chairs.

2)  Snap Apple - Back in the day bobbing for apples was the craze but that can get pretty messy and ruin a really good face paint.  So instead hang an apple (with stem) from a string (use curtain rod or tree branch outside) and have kids try to take a bite out of it while it swings.

3)  Skeleton Scavenger Hunt - Have kids roam the yard or the house on the hunt for skeleton parts (cut from paper, or plastic ones purchased from a toy store or craft shop). For an extra challenge, see if the party guests can reassemble their bony treasures into a complete skeleton set.

4)  Dress the Mummy - Split the party guests into groups no smaller than two and give them a substantial supply of toilet paper. The object of the game is to try and turn one of the group into a mummy by wrapping them entirely in the loo roll! Prizes go to the quickest or the best attempt.

5)  Pass the Pumpkin - A fun way to give pass-the-parcel a Halloween twist, this is played in the same way but you should fill the pumpkin so that each time the music stops whoever has the pumpkin at that time can select a goody from inside.
At the very end, when everyone has had a turn, a random lucky winner gets the pumpkin and the remaining goodies left inside.

What other fun Halloween games can you add to the list?
