momstown.ca conference brought our team to new highs
momstown conferences are always focused on business planning, collaborative work, key team building and updates from our National team (with some fun thrown in as well!). This November, the conference brought our team to new highs in the beautiful setting of Niagara Falls.
We enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of the Courtyard Marriott, including dinner at the Keg Steakhouse right on site, and started the conference off with something key to all successful businesses - celebration and recognition.
I was so proud to receive an award from my peers - the Community Leadership award was presented to momstown Milton and I felt so honoured to be recognized. Milton is an amazing community in which to be an entrepreneur, and the support from both our town and the momstown community is truly special.
The celebratory mood from Friday carried over into the entire conference - but it was also a lot of hard work, big decisions, and key financial planning that every momstown chapter fully engaged in over the course of the weekend. We were fortunate to work with Shelagh Cummins from BizTrainHer.com, who really challenged us to set goals, work through a plan, and know our value.
We were also treated to a wine tour at Chateau des Charmes, enjoyed mani/pedis from Ah Bella Luna Mobile Spa, and will have some fabulous new professional photos to share soon from CL Buchanan Photography!
We all left with strong business plans, new goals to reach, and a renewed sense of how amazing our community is - from every little person we touch through our programming, to the businesses we work with, to the collaborative force of the momstown team across the country.
I'm so proud to be part of this amazing team of business women, and can't wait to ride the highs into 2014 and beyond!
